"Our vision" is to provide the best patient centered environment for same day hip and knee replacement surgery. To maintain the highest quality and outcomes while exceeding our patients' expectations. We want you treated like family. The Golden Rule in word and deed every day, every patient, always!!
When the first reports of outpatient joint replacement surfaced, it was apparent that the protocols for preventing nausea and pain needed great improvement. Many surgeons attempted to create their own different injections, blocks and protocols.
Our protocol has evolved and improved over the years to incorporate the latest drugs and interventions, decreasing pain, nausea, blood loss and muscle injury.
We have spent the last five years fine tuning and adjusting medications, making specific changes for certain patient groups, and streamlining the patient's journey to make their entire course as seamless, and as easy as possible for them and their family.
Meet the Team
Dr. Philip "Flip" Clifford
Founder & CEO
Born in New Jersey, from Vermont natives, Dr. Clifford went to middle and high school in the Tampa Bay area. He attended Davidson College in North Carolina, and then Medical School at the University of Florida. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Duke University in Durham, NC and then added an additional year of fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery (hip and knee replacement surgery). He then practiced in Durham for the last 17 years.
His special interest in outpatient joint replacement led him to Tampa where he could open a center with the plan to deliver the best of care to patients needing hip and knee replacement. As founder and director, Dr. Philip Clifford has spent over five years developing anesthetic and surgical protocols for outpatient joint replacement that has led to nearly all of his patients being candidates for outpatient surgery provided their general health is stable and medically well managed.
Many patients who may not be optimal candidates for outpatient surgery at our center can still benefit from our protocol while having surgery at our affiliated full service hospital.
